Istanbul Tours Tripadvisor Reviews
Small group tours without exhaustingly long drives We arranged a 6-day tour of Turkey with Tujan at Tours Turkey. The trip included Gallipoli, Troy, Pargamon, Ephesus, Pamukkale, and 2 days in Cappadocia. We added a sunrise balloon ride which was a highlight of a lifetime (even though I get nervy about heights it was safe and mind blowing).

Tujan was very professional and communicative, and also responded to my request to arrange more time at Ephesus instead of visiting the House of the Virgin Mary. Essentially Tujan arranged accommodation and all pickups, lunches, flights, transfers, tours. There were no problems (except flight delays which were outside Tujan's control) and it was impressive how seamless everything was handled.
The accommodation (we took the higher cost option) was all superb and better than expected, and the lunches (except on the Pergamon day) were generous and delicious with plenty of time to enjoy them (often with free wifi in the restaurants). There were visits to a few artisan places to explain the making and traditions of rugs, ceramics, and onyx. These were interesting and there was no pressure to buy (though we did buy some stunning ceramics that were well wrapped for travel).
Our guide was very informed and has been through stringent training to qualify for his position, his name is Zeki. He was extremely knowledgeable, polite, helpful and professional.
We were a little reticent about booking a group tour, having only had private tours before, but this tour surpassed our expectations. Everything was made very easy for us so that we could focus on learning about and enjoying this extraordinary country. It was also good value given that all the accommodation, flights, transfers, entrances, lunches and guides were included. Apart from the 5 hour trip to Gallipoli on the first day, land transfers were not too long, with one enjoyable ferry trip and flights to Cappadocia to keep transfer time to a minimum.
The small groups were a particular bonus, with groups ranging from about 15 in Gallipoli, to 2 (us) to 7 in other visits. I would not hesitate in recommending the 6 day tour, or working through Tours Turkey, to anyone. I recommend the balloon ride. There are lots of companies and the one we were offered had a pilot who was extremely skilled. read less

I highly recommend! I visited Istanbul in February with a group a friends. While it’s not the busiest period, the number of visitors is still considerably large.

One of our smartest decisions was to book a group tour with Ayse. She’s a great communicator, very knowledgeable and can expertly lead a group through crowds of tourists while making sure we stick to schedule. She is obviously very good at what she does and enjoys answering any questions about her city’s history.
We avoided the lines, saw some incredible architecture, learned quite a lot in the span of a few hours. read less
Two thumbs up! We were a group of three and our tour guide was Ayse. She was so nice, knowledgeable and her English fantastic. Lunch was delicious and we enjoyed fast-track access to every site, which helped to make the best of our time.
If I travel back to Turkey, I will definitely book more tours with them. read less

A great way to see Istanbul I think it's the guide that makes the tour and in our case we couldn't have been luckier to spend our day with Ozlem. Not only was she really friendly and welcoming, she was also very knowledgeable about all of the places we visited and is clearly passionate about her work.

We only had one full day in Istanbul and this tour is perfect to get an introduction to the history and background of the city. It covers all of the must see places in the old city and also includes a great lunch at a beautiful rooftop restaurant with panoramic views.
I wouldn't hesitate to book this tour, we had a great time! read less
