While we carefully plan each tour to meet your expectations, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, requiring changes or cancellations to your travel arrangements.
This Cancellation Policy outlines the terms, conditions, and applicable timeframes related to modifying or canceling tours and activities booked through our platform. It is designed to provide clear guidance on applicable fees, deadlines, and procedures, helping you make informed decisions regarding your bookings.
This Cancellation Policy applies to all reservations made through www.istanbultours.com (Git Turizm Ticaret Ltd. Şti. ) or directly through our reservation team.
All cancellation terms apply per person and per reservation.
Scope of this Policy
This policy applies to the following services offered by Istanbul Tours:
- Guided city tours and activities
- Private tours and small group tours
- Multi-day travel packages
- Hotel reservations arranged by our company
- Flight reservations arranged by our company
- Additional travel services booked through our agency
Different services may be subject to different cancellation conditions as described below.
Cancellation by the Guest
If you need to cancel your booking for any reason, the cancellation request must be submitted in writing by the person who made the original reservation.

Cancellation Policy for Tours & Activities
If a specific cancellation policy is stated on the product page, that policy will take precedence over the general cancellation policy described here.
Cancellation conditions for tours and activities may vary depending on the specific product, and the applicable deadlines and refund conditions indicated on the relevant product page.
If the booked product includes third-party services such as flights, yacht rentals, or special event tickets, those services may be non-refundable or partially refundable according to the supplier’s cancellation policy.
All cancellation deadlines are calculated according to the local time at the destination of the tour.
Cancellation Policy for Travel Packages
For confirmed multi-day travel packages, the following cancellation fees apply:
- After deposit payment – up to 30 days before the first service date:
10% of the total confirmed travel package price will be charged.
- 29 – 15 days before the first service date:
30% of the total confirmed travel package price will be charged.
- 14 – 5 days before the first service date:
40% of the total confirmed travel package price will be charged.
- 4 – 2 days before the first service date:
50% of the total confirmed travel package price will be charged.
- Less than 48 hours before the first service date or no-show:
100% of the total confirmed travel package price will be charged.
Please note that unused services during the trip are non-refundable.
Hotel Reservation Cancellation
Hotel reservations arranged by Istanbul Tours are subject to the individual cancellation policies of the hotel provider.
The applicable cancellation terms will be shared with the guest at the time of booking confirmation.
Certain hotels, promotional rates, or special event reservations may be non-refundable.
Flight Ticket Cancellation
If flight tickets are arranged through Istanbul Tours, the cancellation conditions are subject to the rules and restrictions of the relevant airline.
In case of cancellation:
- Airline ticketing fees are non-refundable
- Airline cancellation penalties may apply
- Our agency service fee is non-refundable
The refundable amount, if applicable, will be determined according to the airline’s fare rules.
Tickets issued under promotional or special fares may be completely non-refundable.
Third-Party Services
Some tours and travel packages may include services provided by third-party suppliers, including but not limited to:
- Domestic or international flights
- Yacht or boat rentals
- Entrance tickets to museums or attractions
- Balloon rides or special activities
- Transportation services
These services may have separate cancellation policies, and their refund conditions are determined by the respective service provider.
Changes and Amendments
Requests to change the date, time, or details of a confirmed booking must be submitted in writing.
Changes are:
- Subject to availability
- May result in price adjustments
- May incur administrative fees depending on the service booked
Istanbul Tours will do its best to accommodate reasonable modification requests.
Late Arrivals & No-Shows
Guests who arrive late or fail to join the tour at the scheduled meeting point and time will be considered no-shows.
In such cases:
- The booking will be considered completed
- No refunds will be issued
Changes to the Itinerary
While we aim to follow the published itinerary as closely as possible, changes may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Weather conditions
- Traffic conditions
- Government regulations
- Site closures
- Operational requirements
Istanbul Tours reserves the right to make reasonable modifications to the itinerary when necessary.
Cancellation by Istanbul Tours
In rare cases, Istanbul Tours may need to cancel a tour due to:
- Insufficient participation
- Operational reasons
- Safety concerns
- Force majeure circumstances
In such cases, guests will be offered one of the following options:
- An alternative tour or travel date
- A travel credit for future use
- A full refund of the amount paid
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method used during booking.
Refund processing may take approximately 7 – 15 business days
Please note that additional delays may occur depending on the payment provider or bank.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase travel insurance to protect their trip investment.
Travel insurance may cover unexpected situations such as:
- Medical emergencies
- Trip cancellations
- Travel interruptions
- Lost luggage
Force Majeure
Istanbul Tours shall not be held responsible for cancellations, delays, or changes caused by force majeure events, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- War or political unrest
- Government travel restrictions
- Public health emergencies
- Transportation disruptions
In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative arrangements where possible.
